Ouriço A Purebred grey Lusitano stallion, imported from Casal Branco stud, Portugal in 2002. Born in 1995 and standing at 15.1hh Ouriço combines outstanding presence, a wonderful temperament as well as correct conformation and eye-catching movement. Ouriço is fully graded with the Lusitano Breed Society of Great Britain and has competed in affiliated eventing. This year he has been graded with the British Show Jumping Association, he was placed 2nd on his first outing and 4th out of 28 horses in the Discovery at his second competition. Ouriço qualified for the midland championships in the in-hand stallion class both in 2009 and 2010. He has also qualified for a local riding clubs dressage championships. On arrival from Portugal Ouriço spent some time in training with Jane Lloyd-Francis and Georges Dewez at Carreg Y Fuddau dressage and he recently returned for a brief stay to perform in Equilibre Horse Theatre, Songs of the gypsies. |
